Secured our place on Blip.tv today. If you've never used their services by the way, they're pretty amazing and free - always a killer combination.

See, obviously we want to make School Daze a video podcast, but, in with the goal making it a show with the lowest budget:proffesionalism ratio possible, I didn't really want to pay for more hosting, even though I knew we'd have to.

Then I remembered blip. And, within a few minutes, we were all set up with our own branded player, iTunes + RSS feeds, hosting, advertising (and, consequently, a revenue stream that lets us concentrate on creating, not ad sales). They even have cross-posting to this site, my twitter, facebook, and other sites built-in and ready to go.

That and a whole lot more is available over on blip, not to mention the extra features available to you for a reasonable $8/month.

Stuff like this, that saves time, adds proffesionalism, and gives us an easy way to reach our goals never fails to get me excited; keep yer eyes out for our first making-of episode within the next couple of weeks!

So I just made a 30-second teaser trailer for this to procrastinate doing my real homework.

First off though, what IS School Daze?

While we're still in the midst of writing this 5-episode online miniseries, the basic premise boils down to this:

In the last month of the last year of his incredibly successful high school career, our protagonist seems to have overlooked one key step of the process and must now obtain 50 volunteer hours in four weeks if he is to graduate and fulfill his ambitions at all.

It's comedy, it's drama, and it's going to be fantastic.

School Daze shoots this summer in Surrey, British Columbia.
